Prof. Y. Walid Bizreh’s featured list of honors and awards includes:
- The Best Invention Award of 2014: Prof. Bizreh won the best Invention of 2014 award for developing a new way of selecting, measuring and converting Polluted Industrial water into a dual ionic exchanger.
- The Best Inventor of 2009: Prof. Y. Walid Bizreh won the award ofbBest inventor in 2009 best invention for inventing a Hybrid Molecular Sieve.
- The Best Invention of 1988: Prof. Y. Walid Bizreh won the best invention award in 1988 on his developed method for impairment of Betntonite (Sand) to meet the O.C.M.A. conditions for drilling mud.
Prof. Y. Walid Bizreh is the son of the late Jamil Bizreh, one of the pioneers of the 20th century in establishing the naturally-preserved food industry. Jamil Bizreh invented a method for producing mono crystals of Sucrose that is still in use till the day. In Addition, he invented some of the famous Bizouryyeh sweets that later became an essential part of the Mediterranean cuisine alike the Msshabbak, Noue, crystallized sweets and Jams. Jamil Bizreh won numerous awards including the golden medallion of the 1936 International Fare.
